We'd just missed the farmers market on Friday which was a pity. Science convention in the square on Saturday. A real hive of activity. Lots of lovely historical buildings and the Abbey gardens were lovely even on a wet march day.

We live in Leeds so the trip to Abingdon is one of our favourites .A small market town with lots of places to eat and lovely Oxfordshire countryside and wildlife. Nearby Bletchley Park is definitely worth a visit. There are lots of places to walk in Abingdon and lots of history to discover. Oxford is only a bus ride away and they are very regular .Would never drive there.

Check there is not a party or wedding reception the night you are staying. The restaurant, bar and lounge are unavailable and the music goes on until midnight. Not inform of the lack of facilities before or on arrival. Received standard email with restaurant and bar opening times the day before we were due to check in.
It is a beautiful building with gardens going down to the River Thames. We asked for a room with a river view and we’re given one at no extra cost. It was large and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice. We ate in the conservatory overlooking the river.
You can walk into Abingdon in 5-10 minutes and it is a bustling market town.
Next to the hotel, there is an outdoor swimming pool, a children’s play area and the Abbey grounds.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dinckley Court. It’s a beautiful property located as it is alongside the River Thames and the perfect spot for visiting Oxford and other nearby parts of Oxfordshire. There are many great options for eating nearby. We received a very warm welcome from Annette and our room was very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay at Dinckley Court again!
Good location for central Abingdon. Polite staff but room 1 above pub with music and noise until after midnight, so woken up when kicking out time. No tea and coffee facilities in room, but there was juice and water in fridge on the landing. Room very recently upgraded so it was comfortable and modern in an old creaky floorboards building. Felt it was expensive with no cooked breakfast.
The Plum Pudding is a lovely pub in a quiet location with easy access into Abingdon and Oxford by the local bus. Our room was comfortable, cosy and had everything you needed for your stay. The food in the bar was delicious, the staff were very attentive and polite. Would highly recommend. Parking wasn’t an issue we left our car there all weekend and used the bus.
The apartment block was quiet and the other residents respectful of the no noise after 9pm rule.
Great central location close to Abingdon town centre
I highly recommend breakfasts at R&R and a visit to Mostly Books around the corner.
There's buses regularly into Oxford from just round the corner every 20mins.
Really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The hotel is in a great location - only £8 return for a short bus ride into Oxford. The staff were all very friendly and the food was excellent. We particularly liked the range of choices for breakfast and the fact they served up to 11.00am at the weekends suited our plans
This is the second time I have stayed at The Hilton Garden Inn Abingdon. A fantastic location with a bus stop near to travel into Oxford. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great car parking facilities and a comfortable lounge area. The rooms are clean. bright and have a modern shower room.

Great spot for visiting Abingdon and Oxford.
The view of the river from the bottom of the garden is fantastic.
Visit you won't be disappointed.
This flat was really very good! Spotlessly clean and fresh.
The location is quiet and an easy walk into the historic town of Abingdon and its restaurants, and the buses into Oxford run regularly from the top of the road.
Ample parking off the road.
A most gorgeous studio unit in a lovely village close to Abingdon. The unit is very well equipped, comfortable and modern . We well and truly had everything we needed. Very friendly accommodating hosts and a lovely cat.
We had a wonderful meal when we arrived, not too long to wait. Enjoyed the room.
We could sit inside or out at the dinning and drinking areas.
Very close to beauty spots and Oxford.
